CON-NICHIWA 2012: Scavenger Hunt: Rules and Clues

RULES

Scavenger Hunt begins after opening ceremonies. To participate in the scavenger hunt, all groups must register with their group names with the Upper Terrace manager. Groups should consist of no more than 4 people. All entries must be submitted by 4pm Sunday to be considered for points.

There will be 3 “accomplices” who will help you with the hunt. Their names are, Brenda Fuller, Angie Pomeroy, and Lena Le. The 3 accomplices will determine if your photos qualify for points and will answer any questions you may have during your quest.

1. Be respectful and courteous. Ask permission to take photos of something or someone unless told otherwise

2. Use your own digital camera or cell phone.

3. A group member(s) must be present in each picture.

4. No pictures of pictures, like on a phone/laptop.

5. Picture must be unique for each item on the list.

6. The Accomplices have final say on qualifying pictures.

7. You can use the same photo for multiple clues.

8. The Accomplices can only help you when they are at the programming desk.

Scavenger Hunt (Split into 4 catagories)

Group Challenge (3pts. each)
1. Take a picture of your group doing something related to your team name.
2. Passionately sing at least 1 karaoke song
3. Learn a new anime inspired dance
4. Take a picture of your team mates playing a game of Jan-Ken-pon aka Roshambo
5. Planking (Caution is extremely advised)
6. Find 3 Con-nichiwa staff members, know their names, and find out what they do. (Remember to take a picture)

Cosplay Challenge (1pt each)
7. A female character with twin pigtails
8. An anime character with a bandage on their face
9. An anime character with a giant afro
10. A hotel staff member in cosplay
11. An anime character with an eye patch
12.An anime character who has blue hair and blue eyes
13. A male anime character that loves sweets trying to eat something not so sweet
14. A harem. (One male character being chased after by hoards of females or 1 female characters chased by a hoard of males)
15. A Canadian anime character
16. An anime character wearing "megane"
17. Anyone cosplaying as a mecha
18.Photo of the most convincing crossplayer you can find.
19. Someone eating japanese curry. Bonus points if you capture a team member eating curry.
20. Find someone wearing a surgical mask
21. Someone wearing an apron
22. Waldo
23. A cosplayer acting totally out of character.
24. Western pop culture. Someone cosplaying from Star Trek, Star Wars, Batman etc.
25. Picture with two different characters who are voiced by the same seiyuu/voice actor. M. Mcfarland - Master Roshi and Goemon Ishikawa from Lupin III
Haruhi (ouran high) and Ciel Phantom Hive (Black Butler) = Maaya Sakamoto. +5 if you can find characters who are voiced by the same seiyuu and voice actor

Cosplay Group Challenge (1pt. for each character)

26. How many different characters from Pokemon can you gather in a shot?
27. How many different characters from Naruto can you gather in a shot?
28. How many different Hetalia characters can you gather in a shot?
29. How many different Kingdom Hearts characters can you gather shot?
30. How many different villains can you photograph in a picture?

Vender Hall Challenge (5 points each)
31. Anime licensed by ADV, Bandai, Geneon, FUNimation, Media Blasters, TRSI/ NOZOMI, Viz Media
32. Anime produced by Bones, Gainax, J.C staff, Madhouse, and Sunrise
33. Anime voiced by our 4 VA guests
34. Anime or manga taken place in Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Okinawa, America, Europe, and the apocalyptic future,
